The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences Nursing Program will provide you with theoretical knowledge in the classroom and the hands-on application of knowledge and skills in the clinical setting to prepare you to practice as a registered nurse.
At the completion of the program, you will be prepared to practice as a competent and accountable professional nurse who is capable of providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care.
Our Program
Our Nursing Program builds on over 131 years of experience in educating individuals for an exciting career in the nursing profession. Nursing education at a hospital-based program provides a strong theoretical basis and clinical application of skills and critical thinking required for the practice of nursing in today’s healthcare arena.
Supervised clinical experiences which begin early in the first nursing course help students gain confidence in caring for individuals in all healthcare settings. Our faculty bring both educational and clinical expertise to the classroom and clinical settings.
Clinical Expertise
A faculty-to-student ratio of 1:8 to 10 for clinical experiences provides students with individualized attention to meet their learning needs. As part of the Reading Hospital, our students have the opportunity to participate in clinical experiences within a nationally recognized healthcare system.
Graduates of our program have secured positions in our local community, as well as around the world.
