About the Program
Make a difference as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and join one of the fastest-growing fields in health care! Sonography is a highly-skilled, operator-dependent imaging modality that uses advanced instrumentation to create images from inside the human body. Physicians heavily rely on sonographers to be the “eyes” inside the patient and aid in identifying medical diagnoses.

Ultrasound is commonly used to monitor fetal growth and understand the heart, the abdomen, and the vascular and musculoskeletal systems. Our faculty-to-student ratio is 1:6 in the skills laboratory, and there are a significant number of hands-on clinical hours which enable you to experience a large number and type of sonography procedures.
Program Design
The challenging academic and exceptional clinical curricula of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences is purposefully designed to educate entry-level practitioners who are well prepared to provide compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based patient care when delivering sonographic imaging services.
