Stop the Bleed Berks
The Stop the Bleed (STB) outreach campaign builds national resilience, at the community level, by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies, man-made and natural disasters.
Reading Hospital Trauma Center and Stop the Bleed are committed to providing life-saving training to our community and beyond.
The Friends awarded an $18,000 grant to equip 600-plus members of Berks County law enforcement personnel with individual CAT tourniquets as part of the Stop the Bleed Berks initiative with training provided by Reading Hospital's Trauma Center.
With funding provided by The Friends at Reading Hospital, we have provided STB training and equipment at no cost to over 600 members of Berks County local law enforcement, school resource officers, university/campus security officers as well as Berks County and Reading School District nurses.
