Evaluation & Treatment

Pain ManagementThe first step to admission to the Behavioral Medicine Pain Management Program is a referral from your physician and receipt of your complete medical records.

Evaluation Process

After reviewing your records, we schedule an outpatient evaluation, during which specialized assessments are performed.

You are typically seen by the director, a licensed psychologist, and both a physical and occupational therapist who have specialized training in chronic pain management.

Personalized Treatments Plans

After the comprehensive evaluation, we develop a customized treatment plan, which is then reviewed by you and your physician.

Each plan specifies individual goals and objectives, as well as the actions or interventions needed to meet them. Specific treatments are highly individualized and are aimed at reducing the experience of pain and maximizing functionality.

Once the goals and methods are mutually agreed upon, treatment begins.
