A heart attack, or myocardial infarction, occurs when one of more regions of the heart muscle experience a severe or prolonged lack of oxygen caused by blocked blood flow to the heart muscle.

On a monthly basis, a special team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, cardiac rehab nurses, quality improvement staff, and emergency response personnel meets to review the care of our heart attack patients and identify opportunities for improvement.
Our cardiovascular cath lab team consistently outperforms the American Heart Associations recommendation of Door to Balloon time of less than 90 minutes.
