Reading Hospital to Host 'A Good Thyme for Life'

West Reading, PA., March 3, 2020 - On Tuesday, March 10, Debra Powell, MD, Chief, Section of Infectious Disease, and Medical Director, Infection Prevention, at Reading Hospital, will host a special "Good Thyme for Life" dining event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Scottish Rite Cathedral, 301 South 7th Avenue, West Reading. A check presentation will take place at 7 p.m.

The event will benefit Co-County Wellness Services, an organization that provides prevention services and compassionate care to meet individual and community needs related to HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The organization serves Berks and Schuylkill counties. Dr. Powell is a board member for Co-County Wellness Services.

"Co-County Wellness provides crucial health services for our community," said Dr. Powell. "We are proud to support their initiatives so they can continue to provide services that have a positive impact in our community."

The menu will include Asian-inspired cuisine including a stir fry station, noodle bar, slider bar with pulled pork, sesame chicken, Asian meatballs, and spring rolls.

"A Good Thyme for Life" is an annual dining-out event in which participating restaurants agree to donate a percentage of the evening's revenue to Co-County Wellness Services. Raffle tickets and other fund-raising activities are offered at the restaurants.
