Reading Hospital and Local Partners to 'Rock the Block' With Oakbrook Community
West Reading, Pa., September 25, 2019 - On Thursday, September 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. community members are invited to join Reading Hospital, Berks Community Health Center and other community organizations at "Rock the Block - Oakbrook". This free block party will be held at Oakbrook Playground. Light refreshments, music, and activities for the entire family will be available for all attendees. Admission is free and registration is not required.
"We are looking forward to another 'Rock the Block' event with the Oakbrook Community," said Desha Dickson, Associate Vice President, Community Wellness at Reading Hospital. "We encourage the community to attend to receive free health and wellness information and learn more about the community services available in our county."
Participating organizations include: Reading Hospital, Berks Community Health Center, AAA/Safe Berks County, Inc., United Way of Berks County, SafeBerks, Berks Community Action Program, Alvernia University Physical and Occupational Therapy students, Berks County Intermediate Unit - Head Start, Family Guidance Center, Easter Seals, Olivet Boys and Girls Club, PA Food Trust, and many more.
Upcoming block party dates include, Thursday, October 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. All events are held rain or shine.
