Reading Hospital To Host 'A Good Thyme for Life'

On Tuesday, March 5, Debra Powell, MD, Chief, Section of Infectious Disease, and Medical Director, Infection Prevention, at Reading Hospital will be hosting a special "Good Thyme for Life" dining event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Highlands at Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Ave.

The event will benefit Co-County Wellness Services, an organization that provides prevention services and compassionate care to meet individual and community needs related to HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The organization serves Berks and Schuylkill counties.

"We are pleased to be able to support the crucial work that Co-County Wellness is doing for the health of our community," says Dr. Powell. "Their services have such a positive impact on the lives of so many, and we are excited to do our part to help."

"A Good Thyme For Life" is an annual dining-out event in which participating restaurants agree to donate a percentage of the evening's revenue to Co-County Wellness Services. Raffle tickets
and other fund-raising activities are offered at the restaurants.

The menu will include grits with a variety of toppings, crispy poboys, jambalaya, and mouth-watering desserts. Raffle tickets for prizes will be available. The cost is $50 per person.
