Reading Hospital Physician and Nurse Practitioner To Host 'Good Thyme for Life'

When the annual "A Good Thyme For Life" fund-raiser for Co-County Wellness Services is held at local restaurants on Tuesday, March 6, the Reading community will have an additional dining option - a special event at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Debra Powell, MD, Chief, Section of Infectious Disease, and Medical Director, Infection Prevention, at Reading Hospital, and Kathleen Peires, CRNP, Hospitalist Services - Tower Health Medical Group, are co-hosting a special "Good Thyme for Life" dining event on March 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Highlands at Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Ave.

The event will benefit Co-County Wellness Services, an organization that provides prevention services and compassionate care to meet individual and community needs related to HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The organization serves Berks and Schuylkill counties.

"A Good Thyme For Life" is an annual dining-out event in which participating restaurants agree to donate a percentage of the evening's revenue to Co-County Wellness Services. Raffle tickets and other fund-raising activities are offered at the restaurants.

"A Good Thyme for Life" at The Highlands will include pasta, pizza and salad stations; dessert; and beer and wine. Raffle tickets for prizes will be available. The cost is $50 per person.
