Reading Health System was chosen out of nearly 3,000 hospitals and health systems nationwide for its excellence in overall spend management and adopting best practice solutions into supply chain processes.
Reading Health's new approach is driven by data and predictive analytics. By using data as well as engaging stakeholders across the organization, it has taken a deeper dive into the revenue processes and clinical evaluations to balance fiscal responsibility and clinical excellence. The goal is to align the supply chain strategy directly to the hospital's mission and the key objectives on which senior leaders are focused.
ECRI Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the discipline of applied scientific research to healthcare to discover which medical procedures, devices, drugs, and processes are best to enable improved patient care.
"We applaud Reading Health System," says Jennifer Myers, ECRI Institute's vice president of SELECT health technology services, "for their high level of dedication to improving healthcare quality and reducing costs in collaboration with ECRI Institute."
