Reading Health Physician Network Names Suzanne Wenderoth, MD, Vice President, Ambulatory Clinical Initiatives
Reading Health Physician Network (RHPN) announced Suzanne Wenderoth, MD, as Vice President, Ambulatory Clinical Initiatives at Reading Health Physician Network. Dr. Wenderoth will serve as the physician lead providing clinical planning and operational leadership and support for providers in the areas of: clinical care delivery & initiatives, clinical quality, compliance, patient experience and provider engagement. Dr. Wenderoth will work closely with Reading Health leadership and Committees to engage providers in the advancement of high quality, patient centered ambulatory care and service.
Dr. Wenderoth is board-certified in Internal Medicine and will continue practicing at Reading Hospital Internal Medicine Practice. She holds an academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Her most recent roles have been as Physician Lead for the Reading Health Patient Centered Medical Home Initiative, Associate Program Director (Ambulatory) for the Department of Medicine Residency Program, and Medical Director for the combined faculty & resident Reading Hospital Internal Medicine Practice.
Dr. Wenderoth earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, served as a Disease Prevention officer in the United States Peace Corps, and trained as an investigator at the National Institutes of Health. She received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed residency training at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She continued her work there as the Director of Quality Improvement for the Cornell Internal Medicine Associates for five years, and as Associate Professor of Medicine prior to joining Reading Health System in 2012.
