Hospitalists are physicians who are responsible for the complete direct response care and monitoring of a patient after he or she is admitted to the hospital. Pediatric hospitalists are pediatricians who provide around-the-clock care for children admitted to the hospital.
The pediatric hospitalist also keeps the patient’s primary care doctor informed of any changes. They are on-site at the hospital every day, so they can answer family questions quickly and efficiently with minimum interruption to patient care. Quality patient care is continuous and consistent.
