About the Program
Shadowing experiences are typically scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Accommodations outside of these scheduled hours, for varying durations, or a specific advanced imaging modality will be made on an individual basis depending on scheduling and availability.
The requirements to shadow are:
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- If under age 18, parent/guardian consent form
- Photo identification and proof of age
- Appropriate attire – regulations will be provided
COVID Vaccination Requirement for Shadowing Experiences
Effective August 1, 2021 individuals who request a shadowing experience are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to the experience. “Fully vaccinated” is defined as two weeks after a second dose of a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Participation in a shadowing experience does not guarantee admission to Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. If applying to the Medical Imaging Program, shadowing is highly encouraged.
