How to Apply
Admission to the Nursing Program is highly competitive. We evaluate both minimum requirements and preferred criteria in admission decisions. Ideally, applicants will have taken college-level coursework to support their application or present a strong academic record as a high school student.
The Nursing Program's admission requirements can be found in the Selective Admissions Policy [PDF].
In addition to meeting minimum requirements, applicants must complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). The TEAS evaluates basic essential skills in the following academic content areas: reading, mathematics, science, and English language usage. The School administers the examination in a web-based format.
Please note: A formal interview step is being proposed as part of the fall admission process. Interviews will be offered in early spring semester and will conclude when the class is filled. Additional information will be communicated to applicants at a later date.
We encourage applicants to submit a one-page essay that speaks to the reasons why they want to become a nurse and the characteristics that they possess that would contribute to success in the program.
Application Deadline: February 1.
All applications must accompany required academic transcripts, references, and test scores to advance in the process. Incomplete application files may not be considered after the deadline. We strongly encourage applicants to complete their file well in advance of the deadline but no later than February 1 for fall consideration.
When you are ready, you can complete an online application.
