Medical education is an integral part of our mission with a fully-staffed Academic Affairs Department dedicated to graduate medical education including medical residencies, continuing medical education, youth education and research.
School of Health Sciences
The School of Health Sciences at Reading Hospital is recognized for outstanding academics and clinical experiences. Our accredited Programs equip graduates with valuable practice experience through on-site and community-based clinical opportunities.
School of Medical Laboratory Science
The School of Medical Laboratory Science prepares students for direct entry into the workplace, with a solid foundation in key scientific principles, laboratory procedures, and practical skills.
Finally, Reading Hospital Library Services Department provides information resources and services to medical staff, residents, employees, and students of Reading Health System.
Internships and Training
Reading Hospital maintains a collaborative relationship with Albright College in order to provide an educational experience for undergraduate pre-med students and doctoral students through internships and training.
Medical Student Rotations
Reading Hospital is a major teaching affiliate of to Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine, Temple University School of Medicine, and Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. We provide medical student rotations for more than 200 medical students each year.
